Every summer I plant an herb garden, and every fall I watch it all die with the first frost. Of course, I’m super busy in the summer and fall, and I cook with those herbs often, but I never get around to making pesto to freeze to make those herbs last into the winter. But I just found this video from Sunset magazine – what a great idea for preserving herbs! And simple – just chop them up and mix with sea salt. They’ll last up to a year in the fridge – but I bet they’ll only last through the winter!
